But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
Whatever situation God has placed you in, whatever circumstances you were in when he called you, that's where you should stay and live out your faith. This is what I teach in every church I visit.
Bloom where you're planted, God called you right where you are for a reason.
📚 Historical Context
In the first century AD, the Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church, which was a diverse community in a bustling Greek city influenced by pagan culture, and they were seeking guidance on practical matters like marriage and social status. Paul emphasized that believers should remain in the life circumstances they were in when God called them, to maintain focus on spiritual growth rather than external changes. This advice was intended as a universal principle for all early Christian churches to promote stability and faithfulness.
